On the second day of YA Book Recommendations, I am sharing a favorite paranormal series!
You know how the saying goes—don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This is one series where you should definitely take this advice seriously. Bloodlines is the heart-pounding spin-off series of Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy. Bloodlines follows Sydney, Adrian, Jill, and Eddie (side characters from the original story) in Palm Springs as Jill hides from potential assassination attacks. This is such a fun series full of great character development and swoony romances. A must read if you love Vampire Academy!

Check out last year’s paranormal recommendations!
I never finished Bloodlines or Vampire Academy. There are days when I think back and question if I should return to the series but so far I haven’t
I think it helped that I binge-read VA and the first four Bloodlines books in a month. I didn’t enjoy the last book of Bloodlines as much as the others, and I think that may have been because it had been 2 years since my binge-read so I was way out of the world by that point.
I just started the Vampire Academy series. I know, I’m late to the game but better late than never right?! Does that series have romance?! It hints at it but not sure if it ever happens.
There’s definitely a lot of romance! If I’m remembering correctly, I think there’s a lot more after the first book. The spin-off series (Bloodlines) is for sure a lot more romance centered.
