On the eleventh day of YA book recommendations, I am sharing two of my favorite 2015 debuts!
I wasn’t planning on reading Everything, Everything in one sitting. I decided to just read a couple chapters before continuing on with my day. Soon enough a couple chapters turned into a few, and then those few turned into several. I just did not want to put the book down. Needless to say, I ended up finishing the book that very same day. The story unfolds through diary entries, emails, charts, lists, and drawings. These illustrations made the story entertaining, charming, and personal, and I absolutely loved this aspect of the novel. I enjoyed this novel very much and definitely recommend this book. Full review here.
I love the world Victoria Aveyard has created in Red Queen. The book is set in the future, but still has all the fantasy aspects I enjoy in the genre. I loved reading this book, and it definitely lives up to all the expectations. There are so many plot twists and betrayals that will leave your head spinning and heart breaking. Red Queen has made its way into my list of favorites, and I can’t wait for the sequel, which comes out soon. Now is the time to read it if you haven’t had the chance to yet. Full review here.
