It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I’m very excited that winter is here and that Christmas is finally upon us! For this holiday season, I thought I’d share with you all 12 Days of YA Book Recommendations! Each day leading up to Christmas, I am going to share some of my favorite books from a different YA genre. My hope is that you’ll add some wonderful new books to your Christmas wish list or TBR pile.
Today, on the first day of YA book recommendations, I am sharing a few of my favorite high fantasy novels!
The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas just might be my favorite series of all time. I absolutely love the world and characters Sarah has created. I’m very excited to catch up with the latest installment while I’m home over break! If you haven’t picked up this series yet, it is a definite must!
If you already love Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass, then I highly suggest you check out Sara Raasch’s Snow Like Ashes trilogy! This is another great fantasy world that quickly found it’s way on to my list of favorites—I even featured it as one of my first Friday Favorites! I loved the first book so much, and I can’t wait to read the sequel over break!
The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo is yet another wonderful fantasy world. I especially love how it has pieces of Russian folklore—something I haven’t seen in any of the series I’ve read before. If you haven’t read this series yet, you need to get on it! Ruin & Rising was my first featured Friday Favorite!
