On the tenth day of YA Book Recommendations, I am sharing two book to movie adaptations that I enjoyed this year!
Fantastic Beasts is not a traditional book-to-movie adaptation as Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them is one of the the textbooks at Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series. The movie explains the backstory of the author of this textbook, Newt Scamander. Overall, I was impressed by this movie and look forward to the next four installments in this new series! I actually enjoyed the movie way more than I did the book. Blasphemes, I know. However, I just felt like the stakes were raised way higher in the movie and was just way more intense than the book. The effects were pretty cool as well. I would definitely watch this movie again. Read a more in depth book-to-movie review here.
