On the eleventh day of YA Book Recommendations, I am sharing two of my favorite 2016 debuts!
Erin L. Schneider’s writing is addictive, and I couldn’t help but fly through Summer of Sloane. I absolutely loved the tropical Hawaiian setting, plot, and all the characters. This is the perfect summer read and a must read for any contemporary lover! Need more convincing, read my full review here!
The Crown’s Game was my most anticipated 2016 debut, and it did not disappoint. It was very well-written with amazing world-building and settings. The book is told through 10 perspectives, and I loved switching off to new characters. And the ending was just so heartbreaking. I definitely recommend it!

OOO I HAVEN’T READ THE CROWN’S GAME YET AND I REALLY WANT TO. (I had the chance to snag it earlier this year but chose not to…). I’m not entirely thrilled about ten perspectives though… It might be confusing for me. 🙁
I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance! If I’m remembering correctly, the chapters were pretty short and focused solely on one POV so it wasn’t too hard to keep track of the different characters and their perspectives.
