On the fourth day of YA book recommendations, I’m sharing a thriller!
If you’re looking for a suspenseful mystery, We Were Liars is the book for you! It’s best to go into the novel without knowing anything (hence the vague synopsis if you’ve read it). The unreliable narrator will keep you on the edge of your seat until the shocking final reveal at the end.

Check out last year’s thriller recommendation!
I thought this book was phenomenal. I know it wasn’t for everyone, but I loved. The emotion, the twist, the fallout — I was ll in.
Me too. It was so different than what I was expecting and I hadn’t really read anything else like it at the time so I loved the twist.
I love E. Lockhart!! This wasn’t my absolute fave of hers, but it’s the one that got her the most attention, so I appreciate it. I think the twist in this book is one that I don’t like having pulled on me. I think it’s just been done to me one too many times and when it happens part of me always gets a little annoyed.
I like her writing too! What’s your favorite book by her?
