November Releases

October 31, 2019

The end of the year is approaching so quickly, but there are still some exciting book releases to look out for in November!

Deadly Little ScandalsRelease Date: November 5, 2019
Find it here: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

“Think of the White Gloves like the Junior League-by way of Skull and Bones?”

Reluctant debutante Sawyer Taft joined Southern high society for one reason and one reason alone: to identify and locate her biological father. But the answers Sawyer found during her debutante year only left her with more questions and one potentially life-ruining secret. When her cousin Lily ropes her into pledging a mysterious, elite, and all-female secret society called the White Gloves, Sawyer soon discovers that someone in the group’s ranks may have the answers she’s looking for. Things are looking up… until Sawyer and the White Gloves make a disturbing discover near the family’s summer home—and uncover a twisted secret, decades in the making.

No one is quite who they seem to be in this twisty, soapy, gasp-inducing sequel to Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ unputdownable Little White Lies.

I had the chance to read this one early and the twists are SO good! If you haven’t checked out the first book, now is the time to pick it up! Read my review of Little White Lies here.

A Constellation of RosesRelease Date: November 5, 2019
Find it here: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

Perfect for fans of Tell Me Three Things and The Astonishing Color of After, A Constellation of Roses is brimming with a magic all its own—lovable and flawed characters, an evocative setting, and friendships to treasure.

Ever since her troubled mother abandoned her, Trix McCabe has preferred to stay on the move.

But when she lands with her long-lost relatives, she finds out that the McCabe women have talents like her own that defy explanation: pies that cure all ills, palm-reading that never misses the mark, knowledge of secrets that have never been told.

Before long, Trix feels like she might finally have found somewhere she belongs. But when her past comes back to haunt her, she’ll have to decide whether to take a chance on this new life . . . or keep running from the one she’s always known.

More magic awaits in the stunning companion novel, The Deepest Roots, which Booklist called “a must-read” in a starred review!

I’ll be participating on the blog tour for A Constellation of Roses so look for my review and aesthetic on November 11!

Across a Broken ShoreRelease Date: November 5, 2019
Find it here: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

The last thing eighteen-year-old Wilhelmina “Willa” MacCarthy wants is to be a nun. It’s 1936, and as the only daughter amongst four sons, her Irish–Catholic family is counting on her to take her vows—but Willa’s found another calling. Each day she sneaks away to help Doctor Katherine Winston in her medical clinic in San Francisco’s Richmond District.

Keeping secrets from her family only becomes more complicated when Willa agrees to help the doctor at a field hospital near the new bridge being built over the Golden Gate. Willa thinks she can handle her new chaotic life, but as she draws closer to a dashing young ironworker and risks grow at the bridge, she discovers that hiding from what she truly wants may be her biggest lie of all.

I lived in San Francisco for 4 months a couple years ago so I’m always excited to find books that are set there. I’m especially excited to read this historical fiction piece.

Sick Kids in LoveRelease Date: November 5, 2019
Find it here: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

Isabel has one rule: no dating.
It’s easier―
It’s safer―
It’s better―
―for the other person.

She’s got issues. She’s got secrets. She’s got rheumatoid arthritis.

But then she meets another sick kid.

He’s got a chronic illness Isabel’s never heard of, something she can’t even pronounce. He understands what it means to be sick. He understands her more than her healthy friends. He understands her more than her own father who’s a doctor.
He’s gorgeous, fun, and foul-mouthed. And totally into her.

Isabel has one rule: no dating.
It’s complicated―
It’s dangerous―
It’s never felt better―
―to consider breaking that rule for him.

I received a fun box from the publisher for Sick Kids in Love, which has made me even more excited to read the book!

Nicola Yoon meets Jenny Han in a heated first-love romance about two teens who are torn apart one summer by prejudice and mental illness, and find each other once again.

Can she forgive and open her heart to him again? Or are they doomed to repeat history?

From debut author, Ronni Davis, comes a stunning novel about passion, loss, and the power of first love.

The Queen of NothingRelease Date: November 19, 2019
Find it here: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Holly Black, comes the highly anticipated and jaw-dropping finale to The Folk of the Air trilogy.

He will be the destruction of the crown and the ruination of the throne

Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold onto. Jude learned this lesson when she released her control over the wicked king, Cardan, in exchange for immeasurable power.

Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan’s betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her deceptive twin sister, Taryn, whose mortal life is in peril.

Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict’s bloody politics.

And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity…

This is another series I’ve been waiting to read! There’s been so much hype for it and I’m excited to finally see what it’s all about.

I’m so excited for Queen of Nothing! I adored The Cruel Prince, and even though The Wicked King didn’t live up to my expectations, I’m hoping for the best in this final installment. 🙂 I’ve been waiting for the Renegades series to be fully published before I start it too! I heard really good things about it, and I loved The Lunar Chronicles, so my hopes are high. I need to get to Little White Lies – I love The Naturals and The Fixer series by the author. Hope you’ll love all these books!

Deadly Little Scandals is SO good! It’s the sequel to Little White Lies so make sure you pick that one up first. I highly recommend all of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ recent series as they the best twists!
