Long Way Down and Long Way Down: The Graphic Novel by Jason Reynolds — 5 stars
Long Way Down is such a stunning and haunting story. I listened to the audio (narrated by the author) while also flipping through the graphic novel adaptation, and I loved taking in the story through both formats. This book will stay in your mind for days!
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan — 4 stars
I read Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares and then watched the show around the same time—both were really fun and hope a second season gets made following book 2! Check out my book vs. show review here.
The Avant-Guards, Volume 3 by Carly Usdin and Noah Hayes — 4 stars
Down to the Wire, the final volume of The Avant-Guards, was a fun ending to the series. I’m going to miss hanging out with this basketball team and wish there were more books!
The Brightsiders by Jen Wilde — 5 stars
The Brightsiders was so fun and captured my attention completely! This one had been in my tbr for a few years and I’m so glad I finally read it. You’ll want to read this book if you love rockstar romances, friends-to-lovers, music, found family, and LGBTQIAP+ rep!
great post, so many really good books.
Thank you! I enjoyed them all!
I’m assuming you meant to title this post “May in Review” right? Or is it an old post that accidentally got posted? I’m confused. LOL!
I loved both versions of Long Way Down, though!
No, it’s November 2020! I fell behind last year so I’m slowly posting those reviews 🙂
