“Father of the Bride meets Sixteen Candles in the latest novel from New York Times bestselling author Morgan Matson.”
Save the Date is on my list of all-time favorite books! It’s full of family dynamics, learning to embrace change, and hilarious wedding mishaps. Readers will fall in love with the Grant family!
WE ARE THE PERFECT

“This witty, warm-hearted retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac is a love letter to female friendship. Perfect for Stephanie Perkins fans, and anyone who’s ever thought of trying on a new identity to impress a guy.“
We Are the Perfect Girl was one of my favorite reads of 2019! loved the hilarious voice throughout the story as well as the realistic portrayal of teenage self-esteem.
NOTEWORTHY
Find it: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, Book Depository
“A cappella just got a makeover.”
Boarding school. A cappella. And a girl determined to make her mark, even if it means infiltrating the elite, all-male a cappella octet. Think Pitch Perfect meets She’s the Man. I adored so much about this book, especially the relationships, storyline, and humor.
LITTLE WHITE LIES
Find it: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, Book Depository
“Set in the world of debutante balls, grand estates and rolling green hills, Little White Lies combines a charming setting, a classic fish-out-of-water story, and the sort of layered mystery only author Jennifer Lynn Barnes can pull off.”
Little White Lies is full of so much twisty goodness. Fans of Gossip Girl will love the family drama and scandal. Plus, the great news is that the sequel released last fall, so you don’t have to wait for answers!
I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You
Find it: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, Book Depository
“Cammie Morgan may be an elite spy-in-training, but in her sophomore year, she’s on her most dangerous mission—falling in love.”
The Gallagher Girls is one of my favorite series! The first couple books are so FUN. While everyone else dreamed of attending Hogwarts, I grew up wishing I could go to the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women!
I’m reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell 🙂
I really liked Little White Lies! Great list!
I reading M.C. Higgins The Great by Virginia Hamilton, an MG book I bought at a library book sale last month and I’m listening to Die For Me by Amy Plum, about a teenage girl who after her parents die, moves to Paris, France to live with her grandparents and finds herself becoming immersed in a mysterious paranormal world. I’m only about an hour in but, I’m really liking it so far.
I love The Gallagher Girls Series too! Cammie is one of my all time favorite main characters and I would read anything narrated by her. I can’t wait to read Ally Carter’s new book, The Winterbourne Home For Virtue And Vengance.
Sorry, The Winterbourne Home For Vengeance and Valor.
I love that We Are the Perfect Girl is on your list. I feel like Kaplan’s books are so underrated, and they were all hits for me.
We love Save the Date and the Gallagher Girl series!
