HAPPY XO, KITTY DAY! 💋

If you don’t already know, @xokittynetflix is a spin-off series of TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE following Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty, as she heads off to Korea for high school.

I have been counting down the days for XO, KITTY season three to drop! I absolutely adored season two of the show, so I’m excited to finally head back to KISS and see all the new messy situations our favorite chaos queen will get herself into senior year.

Last week, I headed to New York for a quick trip to celebrate this cozy fantasy with a group of influencers.

I loved working with my #TeamPRH @getunderlined colleagues to pull together the event, which took place at @loveandlegendsbooks in Brooklyn. This fantasy bookstore just opened this past fall and was the perfect space!

We brought in @goldfeather_ to lead everyone in creating their own herbal tea blend to take home. Doesn’t tea and a cozy fantasy sound like the perfect pairing!?

I couldn’t put THE PROSPECTS down! I picked up the audiobook last week and ended up devouring it in two days.

There was so much I loved about the book—the trans rep, realities of playing minor league baseball, queer joy, anxiety rep, and underdog team to root for. Author @squashgoblin hit it out of the park with this debut!

A perfect addition to your @transrightsreadathon TBR. HEATED RIVALRLY fans, you’ll especially love this one!

⚾ About THE PROSPECTS ⚾

Hope is familiar territory for Gene Ionescu. He has always loved baseball, a sport made for underdogs and optimists like him. He also loves his team, the minor league Beaverton Beavers, and, for the most part, he loves the career he’s built.

As the first openly trans player in professional baseball, Gene has nearly everything he’s ever let himself dream of—that is, until Luis Estrada, Gene’s former teammate and current rival, gets traded to the Beavers.

Gene and Luis can’t manage a civil conversation off the field or a competent play on it, but in the close confines of dugout benches and roadie buses, they begrudgingly rediscover a comfortable rhythm.

As the two grow closer, the tension between them turns electric, and their chemistry spills past the confines of the stadium. Soon, Gene has to reconcile the quiet, minor-league-sized life he used to find fulfilling with the major-league dreams Luis inspires.

The room was packed for @markuszusak to celebrate the 20th anniversary of THE BOOK THIEF!

Markus Zusak’s talk was so interesting—covering early inspiration and writing the book all those years ago as well as some fun stories from after the book was published (like a helicopter ride one of his international publishers took him on!).
