Who’s ready to head back to Camp Half-Blood?? We Who’s ready to head back to Camp Half-Blood??

We wrapped NYCC by celebrating the launch of the new CAMP HALF-BLOOD series with Rick Riordan and his series co-authors @annabelleohauthor, @kylelukoffwrites, @jadeadia, and @phcartayaz!

This influencer event was a massive undertaking, and I’m so proud of how it all came together!

We had so many fun activities, including Percy Jackson trivia, live bandana embroidery by @originalrose, s’more making, camp-themed crafts, and photo ops (including the newly revealed cover of book 2). We also had delicious mocktails by @mocktailmagic.nyc and an absolutely stunning charcuterie spread by @madebymerryny.

Biggest shoutout to my #TeamPRH @randomhousekids colleagues for all their hard work and everyone who braved the rain to join us for this special evening 🫶🏻
What a month! September kicked fall off with a ban What a month! September kicked fall off with a bang, and it’s just going to get busier and busier!

My highlight of the month was my work trip to New York to celebrate OUR STRANGE DUET! Runner up was seeing early screenings of SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS back-to-back nights with @treereads.

Some stats from the month:
🎭 4 musicals attended
🩻 4 seasons of Bones binged
📚 2 books read
🚕 1 New York visit

What were your highlights from September? Any new fave books?
Last week was a two show kind of week! 🎭 🎶 First Last week was a two show kind of week! 🎭 🎶

First off was INTO THE WOODS at @southcoastrep, which I absolutely loved. I’ve always wanted to see this show live (I love the music and even attended the original cast reunion back in 2014 where they performed select songs and did a Q&A) and this production was excellent. The cast, staging, costumes—everything was so well done!

Then it was off to @segerstromarts to see the national tour of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST with @treereads! This was the first time I’ve seen the musical adaptation, which expands upon the animated film with additional songs and character depth. The costumes were so beautiful. It was fun hearing the audience gasp when Belle appeared in her iconic yellow ballgown, and I personally loved the embroidered flowers added to her blue village dress!
HAPPY LOVE HYPOTHESIS DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE!! 💕 HAPPY LOVE HYPOTHESIS DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE!! 💕🧪

Last week I saw an advance screening at @heartboundbookshop! I loved watching this adaptation early with a group of romance readers (so thank you Heartbound).

It’s such a fun romcom, and I left the screening already excited to rewatch it, which I will be doing now that the movie is out today!
Thank you @therippedbodice and @focusfeatures for Thank you @therippedbodice and @focusfeatures for the early screening of @sensesensibilityfilm!

It was so fun seeing SENSE & SENSIBILITY in a theater full of romance readers! Hearing the audience’s gasps, swooning, and laughter was top tier.

I loved the film! The drama! The yearning! The sisterhood! The casting! It was all so good.

I was also pleasantly surprised that it was funny too!? Going in I did not expect to laugh out loud as much as I did!

This one is for the eldest daughters (and the P&P 2005 girlies). Be sure to see it in theaters on October 16!
