Game of Thrones Book Tag

The lovely Brianna & Angelina from Fable’s Library tagged me in their new Game of Thrones Book Tag that they recently created! How cool is that?? Let’s dive in!

1. Cersei Lannister ~ A book that took you by surprise

The most recent book that surprised me was Don’t Get Caught. I don’t really know what I was expecting out of it, but it surprised me just how fun and enjoyable it was. If I had known how much I would enjoy this read, I would have read it a lot sooner. If you want to know more of my thoughts, check out my review!

2. Tyrion Lannister ~ A quotable book

There are so many quotable books out there, but I’m going to chose Clockwork Princess as the most quotable book. There are so many quotable lines in each book in The Infernal Devices trilogy, but I have to chose Clockwork Princess as I used a quote from it as my senior quote in my yearbook!

“Life is a book, and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read.”

3. Ramsay ~ A book that creeps you out

the unbecoming of mara dyer - theheartofabookblogger

To be honest, I don’t read too many creepy books because I DO NOT like being creeped out. Looking through my Goodreads account, I think the creepiest book I’ve read was The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. I don’t remember too much of it since I read it a few years ago, but I think I do remember it being quite creepy. I started the sequel but got sidetracked and never finished it. I think I want to finish the series (especially since I’ve heard there’s going to be another book now).

4. Jon Snow and Ygritte ~ Your favorite couple

THIS IS PROBABLY THE HARDEST QUESTION OF ALL. I have so many OTPs and it is not fair to make me chose from them. I’m just going to chose my most recent favorite couple, which is Merik and Safi from Truthwitch. If you want to basically see most of my other favorite couples, check out this post! <3

5. Sansa Stark ~ A character that DESERVES a happy ending

Even though I have yet to read Queen of Shadows yet (curse you school and having no time to read long books anymore), I think I’ll chose Aelin from the Throne of Glass series. Oh man, this girl has basically gone through hell and back a few times and she just deserves a happy ending.

6. Robb Stark ~ A character you LOVE

i'd tell you i love you but then i'd have to kill you - theheartofabookblogger

There are SO MANY characters that I love, but I’m going to go with Cammie from the Gallagher Girls series. The Gallagher Girls books are what got me to start reading YA, so this series holds a special place in my heart. I love Cammie and her friends all so much.

7. Sandor Clegane ~ A book with a character who brakes the rulessandor clegane

and i darken -theheartofabookblogger

I’m choosing Lada and Radu from And I Darken as characters that break the rules! I love how they both defy normal gender stereotypes with Lada being fierce and brutal while Radu was more timid and soft-spoken. You can read more about what I thought about this in my review!

8. White Walkers (because why not?) ~ A book that takes place during winter

I loved reading My True Love Gave To Me, which is an anthology of twelve winter romances! I remember especially loving Stephanie Perkins, Kiersten White, Rainbow Rowell, Gayle Forman, Jenny Han, Ally Carter, Matt de la Peña, and Myra McEntire’s stories!

9. Kick-butt Daenerys Targaryen ~ A book with a strong lead

There are so many books with strong leads out there, but I’m going with Kate from Vengeance Road. I loved that Kate was out for revenge and that you knew it. There was no sugar-coating her need for vengeance. Seriously, you better get out of her way or you’ll be shot, and I absolutely loved that she was this “shoot first, ask questions later” kind of girl.

10. Last, but not least, George R.R. Martin

george r r martin

Okay, so this is another impossibly hard question. I don’t know if I have a favorite author. There are so many authors that I love for all different reasons, so I’m just going to list a few of my favorite authors.

  • Ally Carter
  • Susan Dennard
  • Katie McGarry
  • Stephanie Perkins
  • Renee Ahdieh
  • Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I tag Sarah from The YA Book Traveler and anyone else who wants to do this tag!

  • Ooh, I really enjoyed your answers! I’m only partway through And I Darken, but I definitely agree that Lada and Radu break the rules.
I haven’t read Vengeance Road, but I’ll always love to read stories with strong leads – so I’m definitely adding that to my tbr!

    • I hope you’re liking And I Darken! It’s a little slow in the beginning, but I enjoyed it a lot. Also, Vengeance Road was one of my favorite reads last year! I definitely recommend that you read! 😀
