Blog Tour: Recommended For You

I’m so excited to participate on the Simon Teen blog tour today for Recommended For You!

Recommended For You is a swoon-worthy, holiday romcom! It’s starts on the last day of Hanukkah and takes us through the week after as holiday shopping becomes overwhelming in the mall. Shoshanna was an adorable main character, and I loved her excitement for books and wanting to save the independent bookstore she works at. I used to work in a bookstore, and I could picture the lively, holiday rush in the book so clearly.

The story is full of family dynamics, friendship, and a diverse cast of supporting characters. Shoshanna’s relationship with the love interest Jake starts off rocky and they quickly become rivals competing to win the holiday bonus for most sales . . . which then turns into a sweet romance! Recommended For You is a heartwarming must-add to your winter TBR this year!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before meets You’ve Got Mail in this charming and hilarious rom-com following two teen booksellers whose rivalry is taken to the next level as they compete for the top bookseller bonus.

Shoshanna Greenberg loves working at Once Upon, her favorite local bookstore. And with her moms fighting at home and her beloved car teetering on the brink of death, the store has become a welcome escape.

When her boss announces a holiday bonus to the person who sells the most books, Shoshanna sees an opportunity to at least fix her car, if none of her other problems. The only person standing in her way? New hire Jake Kaplan.

Jake is an affront to everything Shoshanna stands for. He doesn’t even read! But somehow his sales start to rival hers. Jake may be cute (really cute), and he may be an eligible Jewish single (hard to find south of Atlanta), but he’s also the enemy, and Shoshanna is ready to take him down.

But as the competition intensifies, Jake and Shoshanna grow closer and realize they might be more on the same page than either expects…

  • I had no idea this was coming out next week. So many books are, it’s very overwhelming. I read Laura’s book, Girl Out of Water and really enjoyed it. I have her book You Asked For Perfect which I haven’t read yet. I would like to pick that up before picking this up. I can definitely see myself picking it up during the holidays.
