On the fifth day of YA book recommendations, I am sharing my favorite contemporary romances!

Katie McGarry is one of the authors on my instantly buy list. I love her Pushing the Limits companion series so much. Each story features a new couple formed from characters from the previous book. I love that Katie  never takes the easy way out in her writing. Her characters always have real consequences for the choices they make. The happily ever after doesn’t just come to them; they have to work hard for it. I think my favorite novels from this series are Dare You To, Take Me On, and Chasing Impossible. I definitely recommend this series for those looking for a realistic contemporary with some pretty swoon-worthy guys!

I absolutely loved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and PS I Still Love You. This duology quickly made its way onto favorite contemporaries list. I read the sequel right after finishing the first book so it felt like reading one long book. Both are both so adorable and charming, and I was definitely swooning over the romances. I highly recommend these books for someone looking for a cute romance.

Stephanie Perkins’ three companion novels are a part of one of my favorite contemporary romance series. I absolutely love these book so much. Anna, Lola, and Isla are wonderful main characters and the settings Stephanie uses are so perfect. The backdrops of these cities fit the stories so well. Plus, the fun part is that we can actually visit the places mentioned as I did on my trip to Paris. I love all three couples, and I don’t think I can pick a favorite. You can read more of my thoughts in my Friday Favorite feature of the series! If you haven’t read these books yet, what are you waiting for?
