The Shadow Prince by Bree Despain — 4 stars
I had a lovely time being an ambassador for Bree Despain’s Into the Dark series. She mailed me copies of The Shadow Prince and The Eternity Cure to review. I don’t think I’ve read any YA books dealing with Greek mythology—I haven’t even read the Percy Jackson series. With that in mind, I completely understood the book and had no issues with having to know the myths inside and out beforehand. I did enjoy reading it even though it was kind of long and took me about a week to get through.

Faking Perfect by Rebecca Phillips — 4 stars
Faking Perfect
was my first official approval on NetGalley! Yay! This book was like a mash-up of Kody Keplinger, Katie McGarry, and Sarah Dessen, and I really liked it. You can read my full review here, which was featured on NetGalley!

The Improbable Theory of Ana and Zak by Brian Katcher — 3.5 stars
I read The Improbable Theory of Ana and Zak next. This was one of the ARCs I received at Yallwest. I thought the book was really funny and super cute at times. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I was into these kinds of conventions and was able to understand more of the references.

The Heir by Kiera Cass — 4 stars
I love The Selection trilogy, and I pretty much freaked out when I heard Kiera Cass was continuing the series with two more books. At first I didn’t like Eadlyn, but she grew on me as the book progressed. I also didn’t really like any of the selected, except Kile Woodwork—I loved him. There is also one boy in the competition who doesn’t speak English, and I really liked his translator a lot. I’m pulling for either of those two for the fifth book so we’ll see where that goes. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the ending. So heartbreaking!

Signs Point to Yes by Sandy Hall — 4 stars
I adored A Little Something Different. Adored it! I was super excited when I received Sandy Hall’s next book, Signs Point to Yes, from Fierce/Swoon Reads. Signs Point to Yes is just as cute and adorable even if it does only have three POVs this time around. I was in the mood to read a light romance and this was the perfect fit! If you’re a fan of A Little Something Different, you’ll definitely love Signs Point to Yes.

Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg — 4 stars
A huge goal for me this year is to read all the unread books sitting on my shelf. I’ve had Prom and Prejudice on my bookshelf for probably four years now, so it was about time I got around to it. This was a cute and fast read, and I enjoyed reading it.

Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles — 2 stars
As I’ve been cleaning my bookshelves, I’ve been sorting through which books to keep on my shelves and which to move over. I won Wild Cards in a giveaway back in December and decided to read before moving it over. The main character, Ashtyn, is kicker and captain of her football team. Huge coincidence (and very ironic) that I was practicing flag football for my school’s PowderPuff game while reading this book. Wild Cards switches POVs between Ashtyn and the love interest, Derek. The book was okay, but I definitely wouldn’t reread it.

Art Geeks and Prom Queens by Alyson Noël — 1 star
Art Geeks and Prom Queens
is another book that has been sitting unread on my bookshelf for years. I didn’t really like this book. I didn’t connect with the main character, and I don’t know, just didn’t like the story. The ending kind of redeemed the book, but, in the end, this book just wasn’t for me.

Model Spy by Shannon Greenland — 3 stars
I’ve loved detective and spy stories for as long as I can remember, so The Specialist series as been in my TBR pile for a long time now. I noticed my friend had the first one on her bookshelf, and she let me borrow it. Well, it’s been sitting on my shelf since last summer so I thought it was about time I read and return it. This book is definitely considered to be younger YA, and I think I would’ve liked it better if I read it in Jr. High. The book was a short read, and I did like the idea of it.

Kiss Cam by Kiara London — 5 stars
read an unedited version of Kiss Cam on Swoon Reads. There are definitely mistakes that still need fixing, but that’s what editing is for! Five stars knowing it’s all going to be fixed! I loved the book, and I’m glad this one will be published. It was adorable and swoon-worthy and I died a little bit. I started the book at about nine at night and kept reading until the wee hours in the morning to finish it. I’ve definitely been recommending this book to my friends, and I hope you all read it, too!
