Winter by Marissa Meyer — 5 stars
I finally picked up Winter, the conclusion to The Lunar Chronicles, this past month. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time, but I just couldn’t dive into a 800+ pages book during the school year. I’m so glad I waited until I could read it without any distractions. Winter was an amazing conclusion to one of my favorite series. I loved all the characters and action and romances and just everything about it. I highly recommend this series. If you haven’t picked up it up, what are you waiting for!?

Stars Above by Marissa Meyer — 4 stars
Stars Above
is a bind-up of several novellas and short stories from The Lunar Chronicles. I had read all of the previously published/shared stories, but I was really happy with the five new stories, especially Something Old, Something New, which takes place a couple years after Winter! If you love The Lunar Chronicles, you’ll definitely love reading some of these other stories.

Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard — 4 stars
Cruel Crown
is a bind-up of the Red Queen novellas, Queen Song and Steel ScarsQueen Song was so, so heart-breaking and I LOVED learning more about Coriane. Steel Scars, on the other hand, was good, but long. I didn’t really start liking it until Shade made an appearance. Overall, 5/5 for Queen Song and 3/5 for Steel Scars.

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye — 4.5 stars
The Crown’s Game
was my most anticipated 2016 debut. I even joined the street team, The Tsar’s Guard, back when the book was still called The Tsar’s Game! Anyway, I was right to be excited about it. The Crown’s Game was very well-written with amazing world-building and settings. The book is told through 10 perspectives, and I loved switching off to new characters. And the ending was just so heartbreaking. I definitely recommend it!

The Crown by Kiera Cass — 4 stars
I loved The Selection trilogy. They were such light, fun reads that I couldn’t help but love. I was so excited when two more books were announced. I liked The Heir, but I didn’t love it like I did the original trilogy. Picking up The Crown, I was curious to see how Eadlyn’s story ended. I ended up enjoying The Crown very much and staying up late to finish the book, which is something I haven’t done in a long time. Did I guess what was going to happen? Yes, definitely at certain parts, but there were a couple surprises thrown in as well. Overall, it was a fun ending and I’m very happy with it.

When I Wake by Elizabeth Norris — 4 stars
I had the lovely privilege of beta-reading Liz Norris’ When I Wake. Guys, you are going to want to be on the lookout for this one. It was wonderful. There’s rich world-building and great characters and a swoony romance. I can’t wait to read the final version!
