You Won’t See Me Coming by Kristen Orlando — 5 stars
Riverdale: The Day Before by Micol Ostow — 3 stars
When Summer Ends by Jessica Pennington — 5 stars

You Won’t See Me Coming is the conclusion to the Black Angel Chronicles. What I love about this series is how the stakes have risen in each book. In the first novel, Reagan was very torn between wanting a normal life and becoming a Black Angel. It dealt a lot more with high school and crushes, but turned more spy-thriller towards the end. Now in the conclusion, Reagan in dealing with all of the consequences from her actions in the second book and how they have affected the other people in her life. Fans of the Black Angel Chronicles will love this action-packed conclusion! Read my full review here.

Each chapter of Riverdale: The Day Before switches off between our four main characters (Jughead, Archie, Betty, and Veronica) and includes little snippets from a few of the minor characters. I loved the extra snippets, which were formatted as text messages, emails, and news articles. It was nice seeing a peak into some of the minor characters as we don’t really get to know them in the show as well as we obviously know our main characters. Of the actual main POVs, Jughead’s was my favorite. However, I liked that Veronica and Betty’s perspectives gave us new information. I recommend reading this novel after finishing (or even in the middle of) season one as the new information will be the most relevant then. You are going to want to add When Summer Ends to your summer reading list this year! This summer romance is set in a small-town and told in dual point of view. I loved both Olivia and Aiden’s voices so much and how realistic they were. Their summer job is the perfect backdrop to Liv and Aiden’s budding relationship as it made it easy for all of their fun activities—the whole book just screams summer with all of the canoeing, exploring, late nights, and bonfires. Sarah Dessen and Morgan Matson better make room for a new YA summer romance queen!
