I absolutely *adore* the ENOLA HOLMES movies and have been desperately needing to read the books, so I was beyond excited when THE ELEGANT ESCAPADE and MARK OF THE MONGOOSE showed up on my doorstep recently!

In May of 1890, Enola Holmes is finally fully on her own and, no longer hiding from her older brothers Sherlock and Mycroft, attending classes and occasionally pursuing her chosen profession as a scientific perditorian, a finder of lost things and people.

Wolcott Balestier, the representative of an American book publisher, arrived in London on a singular mission―to contract with English authors for their latest works. Who are some of your favorite authors?

I’ve been a big fan of Jennifer Lynn Barnes for many, many years now and always pick up her new books as soon as they release!

THE BROTHERS HAWTHORNE was a fun installment in THE INHERITANCE GAMES series!

I loved that we got Grayson and Jameson’s POVs this time. I was so engaged that every time it switched to the other POV, I didn’t want to move on yet because I needed to know what happened next, only to be put in the same spot when the next POV ended.

And in true JLB fashion, a bombshell twist was dropped at the end that audibly made me GASP. I can’t wait to see this how twist unfolds in THE GRANDEST GAMES!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

Over the weekend I attended the Pasadena Loves YA festival! This is one of my favorite local book festivals—fun fact, I’ve been attending it since 2015!!

I had a blast connecting with incredible authors and loved all of the panels. Huge thank you to the @pasadenalovesya for hosting such a great event!

Fall is my favorite season, and it’s finally starting to feel like it with a nice cloudy day today.
