2018 Blogging Goals

January 1, 2018

Happy New Year, everyone! The Heart of a Book Blogger is going to start off the year by sharing some reading and blogging goals I have for this year!

  • Read 70 books! (My Goodreads goal was 65 books last year)
  • Stay active during the semester! (I tend to drop-off on Twitter during the school year and only post on the blog a couple times a month—I’m changing that this year!)
  • Read books I own and finish series! (This was actually one of my goals from last year that I didn’t complete, but I’m determined to do better this year)
  • Make more blogging friends! (I love making friends in the book community, but I’m not always the best at doing it…so I’m going to try harder this year! If you’re looking for more blogging friends too, feel free to start a conversation with me here or on Twitter!)

What are your blogging and/or reading goals for 2018? Let me know below in the comments! 😀

I don’t have set goals yet. I guess I will try to read 100 books and learn photoshop 🙂 Happy New year!

Photoshop is awesome once you get the hang of it! I love using it, but I could definitely learn more skills! Good luck!

Happy new year! I really want to try and be more consistent with my blog as well. I tend to drop off the planet during semesters at school as well, but I am hoping to change that in the coming year! I would also love to have some blogging friends as well!

Happy New Year! Good luck with keeping up your blog—it definitely is really hard to do during school! We can start on making new blogging friends right now! It’s nice to meet you, Caitlin! 🙂

My Goodreads challenge is 100 books and I REALLY want to make a BIG dent in my physical TBR pile. It’s at roughly 80-ish books now but I want to get down to below 50.

      That’s great, Karen! Good luck!

I haven’t set very many clearly defined goals as I ought to. Oh well. 😛
I do have a reading goal of 30 books. It really isn’t much, but I don’t want to have a stressful goal, either. Most of my other goals are writing related, I suppose. I do want to be better about posting regularly on my blog, but I’m also wanting to keep a better writing schedule for my novels.

Good luck with your writing goals!

These are some very great goals! I plan to read 100 books this year and ensure at least 30% of them are diverse.

    • Reply Jordan January 24, 2018 at 10:17 AM

Love that goal!! Good luck and happy reading!

  • Reply Annemieke January 27, 2018 at 11:51 PM

Finishing some series is one of mine too. Too bad I haven’t actually started doing that so far this month, haha.

    • Reply Jordan February 17, 2018 at 9:35 PM

I’m not off to such a good start either haha

  • Reply Jasmine January 28, 2018 at 9:03 AM

Good luck to your blogging goals! 🙂 Happy Reading!

    • Reply Jordan February 17, 2018 at 9:34 PM

Thanks, Jasmine! Happy reading to you too!

  • Reply Jessica February 20, 2018 at 8:18 PM

These are great goals! How are you doing so far? Dropping off of Twitter is my #1 fail every year.

    • Reply Jordan February 25, 2018 at 7:42 PM

I’m doing okay! It’s definitely difficult juggling college and blogging, but I’m trying to stay active. I haven’t gotten to the finishing series goal yet, but I was planning on doing that during the summer anyway 🙂
