On the ninth day of YA book recommendations, I am sharing two of my favorite retellings!
Tiger Lily by Jodie Lynn Anderson is a prequel/retelling of Peter Pan from Tinker’s point of view about Tiger Lily, and I absolutely loved it. The book was well written, and I ended up reading through it very fast. The story was both wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time—heartbreakingly wonderful if you would. I absolutely recommend this read, and I hope more people read this book soon!
I absolutely loved The Wrath and the Dawn; I think it may even be my favorite read of 2015! I loved Renée Ahdieh’s characters and writing so very much. Everything about this book was perfection. The setting, fantasy aspects, and the romance. Oh boy, the romance was wonderful. Khalid is most definitely on my list of top book boyfriends. The Wrath and the Dawn is an enthralling retelling of A Thousand and One Nights, and it is most definitely a must read!
