12 Days of YA Book Recommendations

On the fifth day of YA book recommendations, I’m recommending three sweet contemporary romances!

A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow

A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow is such a charming, sweet, and cozy story—it’s like a warm hug. I loved following Lila’s journey in Winchester as she learns to open her heart again to new places and people, including a lovely British boy, after a trifecta of heartbreak—losing her grandmother, boyfriend, and best friend all within the span of a few months. It’s not until she meets Orion, though, that her heart begins to heal and open up to new possibilities. Plus, there’s so many delicious foods! This book is perfect for fans of Love & Gelato! Be sure to check out my aesthetic for the book.

More Than Maybe

Erin Hahn’s More Than Maybe is an absolute hit—it’s swoony, fun, and full of so much music! I loved how driven Vada is in pursuing her dream career as a music journalist and her relationships with her mom and step dad (seriously, Phil is the best). And Luke, of course, stole my heart with his quiet charm and music-filled banter with Vada. Both of their voices were very strong and had great character development.  Music fans will love this read!

The Lucky List

The Lucky List is a beautiful story that will pull on your heart strings! It’s full of so much summery goodness and adventures while also diving into the challenges of grief. It’s been three years since Emily lost her mom and she hasn’t been the same since. With her best friend away for the summer, Emily befriends Blake, the daughter of a family friend. When they find Emily’s mom’s high school bucket list, they embark on the adventure of a summer by checking off each item. They grow closer throughout their adventures and their romance is so sweet. Fans of Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone will love this book! Check out my aesthetic here.
